Trees have always had a special place in my heart and I’ve yearned most of my life for a way to spend more time amongst them. Discovering that they also held so many health and spiritual benefits only added to the passion. A missed job opportunity is what finally led me to pursuing a career in forest therapy. Because of the research I did in order to apply for the position my computer starting sending me all kinds of related information and one of which was Sylvotherapy. Just the thought of using the trees and plants for therapy immediately sounded appealing and gave me a purpose to hang among the trees!
Forest therapy is an inner journey that should lead us to totally rethink our existence and show us a different outlook on our lives and environment.
My hope is that my clients will develop their own love of the forest and want to spend time connecting with it on their own.
So, sylvotherapy also benefits the forest, because once we become aware of its importance and the dangers that threaten it, we can’t help but want to get involved in its protection.
